Each region was born and grows with its own specific characteristics. The Romagna Riviera gave us modern day tourism, mass tourism i.e. family holidays, after the economic boom of the 50s. It is an important heritage for those who, like the LCG Company Group, decide to venture into the arduous world of the tourist sector, beginning right here, from its family origins.

This family tradition has now reached the fourth generation thanks to the ever important warning: learn in order to improve.

And this is where the siblings Carlo, Gianni and Lavinia Lombardini began in 2004, taking over the family businesses one after the other, and giving to the first group of hotels to be managed directly on the Romagna Riviera the name of their grandfather Giancarlo Valentini, the first person to change the idea of tourism from a seaside holiday into a holiday that includes many facets.

The Valentini Village Group was thus born from a dream, an idea, which, however, boasts real tourism know-how that is in the family’s dna.
The operational headquarters, therefore, could only be inside the building called “Albergo Ristorante Italia“ which was built in 1926, and which belongs to the Valentini family.

Here, in Viale Alfredo Panzini, 103, in the tourism heart of Bellaria Igea Marina, there are the new offices for the coordinated and centralized management of all the hotels that belong to Valentini Village, as well as the Garda Lake Collection, and the LCG Lombardini Company Group.

The History of the Lombardini Company Group

As always they started from scratch. The three siblings begin their tourist adventure in 2005 at Hotel Città di Rosario*** taking it over and managing it with two villas called Vanelli and Piccoli for the following summer seasons. From year to year, the Hotel grows and keeps up to date with new mod cons and facilities; the transformation process ends in 2018, when Hotel Città di Rosario (3 star hotel) becomes Hotel Maré (superior 3 star hotel).

But development does not stop there. The organizational, tourist and administration methods become a veritable model that is applicable to many other situations as well.
The basis is set. The model works. The tourist management model created by LCG Lombardini srl seems successful.

But we can aim even higher.
The summer of 2011, therefore, sees the inclusion into the Valentini Village Group of the distinctive element, the hotel that belonged to the father Giancarlo Valentini, the 4 star Gambrinus Tower Resort. Honour and Glory to this event, but above all, an endless amount of work is needed to make this star, that had made tourist history on the Romagna Riviera in the 60s, shine bright again.

Time proves us right, and Hotel Gambrinus becomes the pride and joy of Valentini Village, but we continue to think of tourism from all possible angles. Not just from the point of view of the hotels, but also of all the related services and facilities involved. This is where a productive collaboration begins with Playa del Sol Village, a company that manages the complex of beach establishments opposite our hotels, which leads to an integrated vision of shows and entertainment.

The year 2012, brings with it the chance to take over the management of a hotel on the seafront with a wide margin of improvement:Hotel Delle Nazioni*** in Bellaria-Igea Marina, offering guests an ever broader choice of facilities and services.

It is a profitable year also in terms of investments and new projects: to implement the tourist offer, without stopping at the first obstacle, in a large unused area next to Hotel Gambrinus the “Las chi goda”, area is created. It is a multifunctional area designed as a pizza and piada restaurant for all the Valentini Village guests, as well as a complex with a cinema and games on not so sunny days, and a meeting room, too.
In 2013, after the drawing up of important business agreements, the second 4 star hotel enters the Valentini Village team: the prestigious Hotel Rosalba Resort, given over to a third party by the family who ran it for the first time.
In 2014, the Las chi goda project expands: the terrace above becomes the setting for the fourth restaurant that is available to Valentini Village guests, which leads to the creation of Brasserie Chiar di Luna.
Then comes the decisive question from the LCG Lombardini srl partners.
If the tourist model that we have created is working here, can’t it also function in other locations and tourist business areas?
In 2015, a challenge begins and culminates in a four year contract in January 2016 for the management of the prestigious Hotel Spiaggia D’Oro in Barbarano di Salò (BS) on the shores of Lake Garda.

Not even our rosiest expectations could have dreamt of so much. Right from the first year of management, there is a noticeable vertical increase in demand, which is concurrent with an increase in the facilities on offer and the management know how.

The LCG Lombardini method works
With the renowned 4 star hotel with the designation Charme&Boutique, they decide to try out the restaurant business. And in April 2016, the Lombardini siblings decide to manage the renowned La Veranda Restaurant. in Barbarano di Salò (BS). A new business that obtains excellent reviews from the very first months.

The successful idea of the “Valentini Village” Group is a single, enthusiastic, centralized form of management that is aided by professional hotel managers who operate directly in the field, and who have been trained according to the project and the original concepts of practicality and solid business management.

A hotel and a restaurant, and then at the end of 2016, the elegant Residence Poggio al Sole in Toscolano Maderno (BS) becomes part of the LCG Lombardini family. A single management and two different areas.
That is how in the January 2017, the Garda Lake Collection idea comes about, which with Valentini Village, forms the “troops” of the LCG Lombardini Company Group.
Thanks to our renowned advertising and marketing skills, Residence Sant’Andrea di Salò also asks for the collaboration of the LCG Lombardini Group to promote and market their hotel.

So we come to 2018, the Garda Lake Collection is a thriving project to which the following hotels are added: Hotel Querceto (4 star Hotel in Malcesine), Hotel Caribe (3 star Hotel in Brenzone sul Garda) and Garda Palace Hotel (3 star Hotel in Gardone).
Another fundamental part of the Lombardini Group is the segment linked to the restaurant business. In fact, the group also comprises the Libeccio Restaurant in Bellaria Igea Marina, and Sushi Corner in Bellaria and Bologna.

To those who ask us whether we risk losing our bearings in the midst of so much work, we say that we have an excellent compass in our hands that from the past leads us full steam ahead into the future.
